This one was like walking back in time. Purchased from the original owner who had been in the property since 1958, this one had it all, 3 different wallpaper in the kitchen, blue carpet throughout and smelled like grandmas house. It was in need of an update and in a hurry.
Right away, it needed to be reconfigured. The kitchen layout was changed to be open to the new dining area. The blue carpet was replaced with engineered hardwood and plush carpet and the bathrooms were remodeled. Outside, a new wood fence installed, the pool and landscaping needed attention and the home was painted.
Although it wasn’t a challenge on the sale, since it was an original owner, it was sill on septic and not sewer. This was in the middle of Phoenix, homes surrounding all hooked up to sewer and this random home was on septic. The Buyer was OK with it but I know it was a turnoff and so it took 59 days to sell this one.
